Jacob represents employers and insurance carriers in Workers’ Compensation claims. He has litigated numerous matters since joining Christensen Law. Although Workers’ Compensation Defense is his primary area of concentration, Jacob’s practice areas also include Compliance matters, Collection issues, Creditor’s Rights representation, Bankruptcy Creditor representation, Contract Disputes, Business Formation, and Business Representation.

Prior to joining Christensen Law as a Director, Jacob served as the Corporate Counsel and Director of Compliance for an Oklahoma automotive finance company where he developed the framework for the company’s legal department. Jacob also represented the company before State Agencies, advised on regulatory compliance, and advised on corporate governance. Before his work as Corporate Counsel, Jacob was the Coordinator for the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Disaster Relief Program, assisting Oklahomans needing legal assistance due to the effects of the May 2013 tornado.

Jacob is an active member in the Oklahoma Bar Association where he serves on the Law Related Education Committee, the Legislative Monitoring Committee, and the Lawyers Helping Lawyers Committee. He recently completed the Oklahoma Bar Association’s 2015-2016 Leadership Academy. In addition to his participation with the OBA, Jacob is also an active member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association where he serves on the Board of Directors for the OCBA Young Lawyers Division. Jacob also serves on the Board of Directors for Epworth Villa in Oklahoma City.

Jacob and his wife, Jessica, reside in Edmond with their dog, Sadie. Jacob and Jessica are members of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church at the Edmond Campus, where they volunteer on the Hospitality Team and participate in the Young Adults Group and Men’s Group. Aside from spending time with his family, Jacob enjoys playing golf, reading, watching a good movie, and rooting for the WVU Mountaineers, Dallas Cowboys, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
